After sitting outside to work on Maire’s edit while the Kid took his four-hour post-grandma nap, I got a very dense headache. I know grass pollen, which I’m highly allergic to, is bad today, but the air quality was *awful*! Shower made everything feel better with no drugs.

Wow. Just…wow. We went to the hospital at 10:15 a.m. yesterday and didn’t get home until 4:30 p.m. The delay was due to the fact that they “worked someone in” that morning for surgery, which bumped us back. Took the Kid to his follow-up eye appointment today, and nothing’s changed. His eyes are at 20/25, which is awesome, but they’re still turning like crazy, so it’s time to have the surgery. Reprieve.
I took the Kid back to the eye specialist today for his pre-surgery checkup. Turns out after a month of patching only the right eye, his left eye is now actually stronger than his right (a first). And on top of that his turns have significantly decreased, a fact that had the doctor pretty surprised. [...]
