It seems like my ear infection is finally starting to settle down. I slept lying down last night for the first time in awhile, and while it gave me a sore throat, my sinuses are okay, and my ears aren’t clogged (first time in about 5 or 6 days). The Kid stayed up all night [...]

Markets be damned.
This new book I’m working on is turning from a paranormal romance into a horror novel with romantic aspects. In other words I have no idea where it’s going, but at least it’s going :)
Next up on the Kid’s list.
He said he wanted to visit a “dinosaur zoo”, and I had to explain to him that dinosaurs were all dead. Mike found the Fernbank Museum in Atlanta, and I found the McWane Science Center in Birmingham, so we’ll be going one of those in October. If you’ve been to either, let me know what [...]
Closer, at least.
Lots of coughing today, but at least my ears aren’t clogged anymore. I haven’t had any Advil C&S today, which makes me feel better in itself. The Kid has been sneezing this morning, but his colds are usually a LOT less worse than the ones Mike and I get, so here’s hoping!
Reasons why being sick sucks.
I woke up this morning thinking, “Oh. I’ll be fine! I don’t feel horrible.” After the Advil C&S wore off, however, I realized I still had a fever (day three?!) and have now progressed into sinus fun. The Kid has been acting weird all day, though he swears he’s fine, and I’m praying he doesn’t [...]
Can I get an ‘ugh’?
Every bone in my body hurts today. No one else has it yet, so that’s good: Mike says he is feeling it a little today. The first day wasn’t horrible, but it definitely gets progressively worse. I’m surprised at how bad I feel today. I kept the Kid home today with me 1.) because I [...]
Crap. Crap. Crap.
I went to bed last night with what I thought was either allergies or a cut on the back of my throat (from eating nacho chips yesterday). I woke up this morning with a fever and sore throat. CRAP! I’m supposed to have family over this afternoon (which I had to cancel), take the Kid [...]
In the trenches.
This short story idea is quickly growing both in word count and ideas. Maybe the next book? Wonder how dark you can make a romance novel and still be able to sell it?
